The ARTeducation department of the #sisterART Global Visual Arts Community has just concluded the maiden edition of their monthly online Visual Arts challenge. The theme for the month was FORMS AND SHADES and three selected participants sent in daily entries from the 21st to 23rd of October, 2019. The challenge was fun and entertaining, and indeed it challenged members of the community to present their ideas in different forms and shades of creativity.
#sisterART Global Visual Arts Community is a group of female visual artists from different countries across the globe. Currently there are members from over 10 countries -and still counting- who co-exist in a virtual space made possible by social media platforms. The organisation exists as a universal family where women are given opportunities to display their creative prowess in the visual arts industry.
#sisterART was founded by brotherart productions in 2018. Brotherart productions is an event management firm passionately dedicated to the promotion of Creative Arts – both performing and visual. The formation of this unique body of female Visual Artists counts as one of the many contributions by the company, to the growth of the Creative Arts industry at large.
ABOUT THE WINNER (1st position)
Ejiofor Ogochukwu is a visual artist who hails from Anambra, got her BA and MFA at University of Nigeria Nsukka and University of Benin, respectively. Her art keeps revolving from painting on canvas to wall installations. Ejiofor likes to explore with waste materials especially ones found around her, she says art is every where and any thing can be used as an art piece, if well organized, constructed and implemented. Her installation works majorly center around the use of waste paper. Waste to wealth is one of her art slogans, this keep her environment clean and every waste, useful. She is a member of #sisterArt Visual Global Community.

She is a visual artist from South Africa who creates her works using textile fibres. Phumzile is based in KwaZulu-Natal Province.

She is a skilled painter from eastern Nigeria who has a flair for crocheting craftwork.
