AMVCA 2018 AWARDS NEWS…
The News after a long break…
Hello ladies and gentlemen, I know I have been away for quite a while, I am truly sorry about that. I was off getting married to the most beautiful damsel of all. I am back now from the holiday and it is time to get back to doing what I love most after God and the beautiful woman He gave me. Lol.
The prestigious African Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) 2018 has come and gone but you all know with awards like this comes the highs and lows, the memes and the fashion blunders, the highlights of the night and the events we want to quickly forget.
I will start from Bisola who won the trail blazers award. I feel I am the happiest person for her, probably happier than she is because she totally deserved it. Her career has gone from MTN Project fame to Big Brother Nigeria. The Multitalented lady cannot only sing, but she can act, present and her funny skits sets social media in a joyful mood. She also is a down to earth individual and a hope for upcoming individuals that hard work, dedication, patience and perseverance pays in the long run regardless of the class you started from. She blazed the trail and she is someone that should be emulated. The song she sang that night for the departed artist was also amazing not leaving out the red dress which I personally liked a lot. Her speech, when she collected the award, was amazing as much as hilarious. Take a bow dear you definitely deserved it and much more are coming your way.
Over to the not so inspiring dress by Bambam. I will not kill an over flogged topic on social media already but mehnnnnn the stylist probably had a personal beef with her telling her to wear that and even if the stylist did she could have at least told the stylist mbanu (No!!!) I am not interested. Sometimes simple is smart, now I understand that statement more.
Odunlade also did not disappoint and with his facial expression I would be expecting memes very soon from Nigerians. He also prostrated after winning his award for the night.
Alex and Tobi sure did not make a fantastic combination while presenting an award, though Tobi Bakre tried to be funny, but it was obvious from the vibes emanating from Alex that it did not flow. Oh well what is my business.
Adekunle Gold gave us a golden performance… Something to absolutely take home. Cobhams, oh! Cobhams we absolutely love it when you serenade us with that God given voice. It is amazing and at the same time regrettable that Nigerians do not appreciate such pure art instead of the nonsense we call music now. But there is one performance that nailed it for most and it was from the Legendary Charles Inojie re-enacting the famous “Na dem they rush us” slang that has gone viral from a movie he acted years ago. He still got it.
Amazing outfits on display from Tobi Bakre, IK Ogbonna, Falz, Ebuka to the ladies like, Bisola, Fathia Balogun, Anton and CeeC just to mention a few.

Wendy Lawal Gets Married…
The Actress Yewande Lawal popular known as Wendy and even more known by her character in TINSEL; Shoshana got married over the weekend to the love of her life, Wanri Simpson. It was an amazing affair as the couple read out their vows and celebrated with friends and family. Popular actors and actresses where around to grace the occasion and the fabulous dress by the bride was wonderful. The Groom did not disappoint either. Congratulations Mrs Simpson, may your home continually be celebrated for good.
We head over to Formula one where Hamilton, having started from third position behind both Ferrari cars which where amazingly faster, found a way to dig deep and win the Grand prix to extend the lead. It goes to show what a wonderful driver Hamilton is, regardless of the clear indication that the Ferrari is faster than the Mercedes this year.
In Tennis Nadal and Serena Williams advance to the Quarter final of the US Open. The Temperatures have been on the high side during this year’s Grand slam, but these athletes have defiled all odds and are still in to win it. You know me, I am a Federer and William Sister supporter and since Serena has dumped elder sister Venus out of the US Open, my support is for Serena to win it, her first after giving birth to her beautiful daughter and the title that will take her up there to be the only woman with the highest number of grand slam in the open era.
In football Manchester United bounced back against Burnley, Watford caused an upset against Hotspur, Man city got back to winning ways, Chelsea maintained their unbeaten streak likewise Liverpool and we head to the International Break.
Have a wonderful day and don’t forget, Let Love lead the way!!!
