THE “WEALTHY” NEWS…
From the topic you can tell where I am going with this, Lagos was shut down for the wedding of Dangote’s daughter this Saturday gone past, 23rd of March 2018. And the money on one table was enough to feed the whole of Africa without exaggerating. From Aliko Dangote the host, to Femi Otedola, the Vice President Osinbajo, Bill gates (yes, he was in attendance) just to mention a few. Oh yes and this also attracted artist and entertainers, writers and ex-presidents, senators, the crème de la crème in Nigeria maybe the world. A few names include; Wizkid, Davido, Dj Cuppy, Dele Momodu, Babaginda, Obasanjo, Dino Melaye and Senator Adeleke etc.
What did I learn from this occasion;
-The rich stick with the Rich…. Know the company you keep and make sure they are those that are hardworking, determined, goal driven and have moral values.
– Everyone wants to celebrate a success story let’s be honest; Make sure you prove your doubters wrong and make it, overcome the challenges, stop the ranting about your disadvantaged background and make a life for yourself and please DO IT LEGITIMATELY, don’t cut corners so you can have both peace of mind and a lasting success.
– We need to vote these senators out quickly, most of them have done absolutely nothing for their constituent but can be seen dancing and having fun on tax payer’s money while 95percent of those in their constituent do not even have access to good health facilities, education, water or light. It is saddening.
– We need better role models in our generation for the ones coming after us. Let’s be honest I looked at the wedding and only very few can be called worthy role models for our generation let’s be honest.
– Marriages in Nigeria are not about the couple, let us face it. The parents own the marriages, just try as much as possible to enjoy yourself and give your parents in the process also a chance to enjoy themselves lol.
Let me go into other news……
Our darling Super Eagles defeated the Polish team in a Grade A friendly and it was satisfying, the match which had Lewandoski playing but Mikel Obi missing saw Victor Moses score from the Penalty spot to win the game for Nigeria. We await the next friendly game eagerly as preparation continues.
Portugal came from a goal down to beat the Pharaohs of Egypt by Two goals to One. Salah put the Pharaohs in the Lead with a well taken strike, but Cristiano Ronaldo would not be denied the spotlight when he won the game for Portugal with two well stroke headers… Amazing!!! Take nothing from Cristiano he is one of the two greatest footballers of our time.
England also beat the Dutch team with a strike from Jesse Lingard his first for the three Lions. Brazil beat Russia by three goals without reply just to mention a few.
Formula one is back in full swing and due to a school boy error by the Mercedes team, who claimed there was a software error (humans and blame game sha) Hamilton narrowly lost the first race of the season to Vettel, but this is just the beginning of a thrilling and amazing season yet, that I can assure you. I will keep you all posted.
