Floyd Moneeeeeeeeeeeeeeey Mayweather… The man, the legend, the one that backs his mouth with action the 50-0 man of the moment… If you have not heard, Floyd Mayweather knocked out Connor Mcgregor in the money fight. The biggest fight in boxing history yet where the MMA champion faced off with Floyd Mayweather in strictly boxing. It was a retirement sovereign’s payday for both fighter whatever the outcome with Mayweather Jnr to get a whopping 700 Million whatever the outcome while Mcgregor would go home with 200Million Dollars, I wish I was the one in that ring and got knocked out even, I would not mind for just one million dollar (hey do you know what that amount would do to my life right know). During the tour Mayweather Jnr for the first time was out talked, out classed and out dressed by the Irish. The Irish was aggressive, he had the fans behind him and had the finesse also. Uncharacteristically Mayweather Jnr was cool, calm and collected for a man with 49-0 winning fights we should have known he had something up his sleeve, and that he did on the night. He was technically sound, tactically assured and he allowed the inexperienced Mcgregor use up all his energy in the first three rounds, before he slowly started going on the offensive. On the 8th round Mcgregor was panting, he looked tired and worn out, he was fighting for pride now but his body was failing him, Mayweather smelt blood and took advantage. In the 10th round there was nothing Mcgregor could do again, the King of the ring ran riot all over Mcgregor and he could not even lift a single hand in defence, the referee seeing the beating he was being subjected to, ended the match. A Technical Knockout it ended and Floyd made it 50-0, now who wouldn’t want to retire again with nearly a billion dollar in his or her account, don’t think too far, Mayweather just did and his name should be rightly put up there with the greats like Usain Bolt, Micheal Jordan, Serena Williams, Roger Federer and Tiger woods to mention a few. Take a bow son, for a 40year old man, you just taught the 29year old what experience is all about. FLOYD MAYWEATHER JNR.

Hamilton is back…

In Belgium, Hamilton showed that he can be fierce, and he was not letting any stones unturned in taking the fight to his opponents in the formula one race in Belgium. Louis Hamilton is the Mercedes lead and won the race showing how it is done as a world-class driver, we are down to the business end of the yearlong tourney and it would still go down the wire between Hamilton and Sabastian Vattel of the Ferrari but one thing we can assure barring accidents, technical faults or car faults, Hamilton got momentum on his side at the moment and we cannot wait to see how it all pans out.

The Premiership…

Manchester United made it a hat trick of wins in the Premiership without conceding with the latest victims Leicester city conceding two goals against the team on form, Mourinho is definitely doing something right and would be a little disappointed the international break is coming now because he would want to continue with the momentum currently going on. Chelsea beat Everton by two goals to nil, you can blame it on the fatigue Everton suffered, by travelling during the week to play their Europa qualifier (I know that is obviously biased lol, no excuse in football). Manchester city struggled but overcame a stubborn Bournemouth side by two goals to one, coming from a goal down. Sterling scored the late goal and was sent off for over celebrating and inciting the crowd according to the referee (so players should not celebrate again because of the fear of the referee na wa ooo). Tottenham’s woes at the Wembley stadium continued with Burnley scoring at the last-minute to savage a draw from the host. Some people are already calling the crowd cursed for Spurs only time would tell if that is true, we have a whole season to find out though. And finally the “L” for the weekend goes to the ARSENAL, they were beaten thoroughly and convincingly by Liverpool at the Anfield stadium. Wenger needs to stop using ancient football tactics really, starting Welbeck ahead of your 50Million pounds striker Lacazette is just so horrible and then giving a starting shirt to Sanchez in a big game, being his first match of the season is another technical NO! NO!! What about playing Holding and leaving Mustafi on the bench, like really what did Wenger drink before the match though. Oh well it gives me something to laugh about.

Person of the week: Goes to Tony Elumelu for his act of kindness in giving relieve material to those that have been affected in Sierra Leone by the Mud slide. We are Africans and we should help reshape the continent for the better, we are our worst enemies, but it is time to start thinking outside the box, start thinking right by Africa and stop the selfishness. Together Africa can be the greatest continent because we have been blessed with the man and natural resources with minimal to no natural disasters. Yes we can and together we will.

Quote for the day from the Movie Mr Carter (yes I know it is very old but still rings true the words)

Timo Cruz: Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. You’re playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It’s not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
